How To Make Chicken Biryani


1 kg - Basmati rice or any other good rice, wash and soak for 1 hour 2 kg chicken, cut into large pieces 3 – bay leaves 2 teaspoons – masala powder or garam masala 1/2 kg - Tomato, chopped 3 – Cinnamon (small piece) 4 - cloves 5 - Cardamom 1 – nutmeg flower 2 cups - oil or ghee salt to taste 6 – Green chilli 3 tbsp ginger-garlic paste 2 spoons – chilli powder 1/2 kg - Onion, finely chopped 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves 1 cup curd

How To Make 

Wash The Chicken And Keep It Aside For Half An Hour By Adding Masala Powder, Green Chilli Paste, Curd, Half Ginger-Garlic Paste And Turmeric Powder.

Put Oil Or Ghee In A Big Vessel, Add Ginger-Garlic Paste, Onion, Cloves, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Nutmeg Flowers And Fry For Some Time.

Now Add Chopped Tomatoes, Mint Leaves And Chilli Powder And Reduce The Flame Till Oil Separates From The Mixture And Tomatoes Are Cooked Well.

Now Add Spicy Chicken And Salt And Cook For 10 Minutes Until The Chicken Is Cooked.

Cut The Chicken Into Pieces

Now Pour 7 Glasses Of Water In The Cooker And Add Rice To It And Cook Till Done.

Now Add Cooked Chicken

Now Mix It Well, Cover And Cook On Low Flame Until The Water Dries Up.

Serve It With Curd And Chutney
